Ukrainian vodka brand Nemiroff has partnered with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits to expand its distribution network across Canada. This collaboration will leverage Southern Glazer’s extensive reach, encompassing over 2,600 retail outlets and more than 4,000 on-trade venues.
Starting in the third quarter of this year, Nemiroff’s range of products, including De Luxe, The Inked Collection, and the ultra-premium Lex by Nemiroff, will be available throughout all Canadian provinces.
Strategic Expansion into Canada
“We are thrilled to work with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits to expand our high-quality vodkas into the Canadian market,” stated Yuriy Sorochinskiy, CEO of Nemiroff. “This expansion aligns with our vision of delivering exceptional products to vodka enthusiasts worldwide and tapping into the growing demand for premium and super-premium vodkas in Canada.”
The company notes a growing trend in Canada towards flavored vodkas and sees bars, restaurants, and nightclubs as significant venues for their products.
Market Trends and Consumer Education
Doug Wieland, President and General Manager of Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Canada, highlighted the market’s shift towards premium and craft spirits. “There is a clear trend towards premium and craft spirits, and we are confident that Nemiroff’s offerings will resonate well with the market,” he said.
Sorochinskiy emphasized the importance of consumer education in this expansion. “We are delighted to enhance consumer knowledge and appreciation of premium spirits, helping to elevate the overall drinking experience,” he remarked. This initiative aims to foster a well-informed community of spirit enthusiasts in Canada.
Recognition and Global Ambitions
Nemiroff was recently named The Vodka Brand Champion in The Brand Champions 2024 report, an annual analysis of the world’s leading spirits brands, each selling over one million nine-litre cases annually.
Earlier this year, Nemiroff launched its products in India through a partnership with Amistad Spirits, reinforcing its goal of becoming one of the top five vodka brands globally.
