Carolina Wine Brands, previously the U.S. subsidiary of the historic Chilean producer Viña Santa Carolina, includes several notable names. Before this merger, its portfolio boasted Chile’s Viña Ochagavia and Viña Casablanca, Argentina’s Finca El Origen from the Uco Valley, and various Italian producers like Amarone producer Le Ragose, Abruzzo’s Cantine Spinelli, and Barolo brand Gianni Gagliardo.

González Byass USA, known as the exclusive national importer of numerous wine and spirits brands, originally managed those within the broader González Byass portfolio. This included brands such as Bodegas Beronia (Rioja and Rueda), Pazos de Lusco (Rías Baixas), and Viñedos Veramonte (Chile). Over time, González Byass USA has expanded its reach through strategic acquisitions, with Carolina Wine Brands being the latest addition.

Viña Santa Carolina’s Chilean wines are well-recognized, frequently earning medals at the drinks business’ Global Wine Masters across various categories, from Pinot Noir to Cabernet Franc. This merger is expected to bolster González Byass USA’s market presence and enhance its portfolio with high-quality offerings from esteemed international producers.
