Como will treat Napoli supporters to free beer when the two sides meet again at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia in February, as a gesture of gratitude for the warm reception Como received in Naples during their recent Serie A clash. The club, newly promoted to Serie A after a 21-year absence, expressed their thanks for the kindness shown by Napoli fans last Friday.
In that match, Napoli took an early lead, with Scott McTominay scoring just 25 seconds after kickoff. Romelu Lukaku and David Neres extended the lead, sealing a 3-1 victory over Como, who have struggled with just two wins in their first seven matches this season. Despite the loss, Como, under the guidance of coach Cesc Fàbregas, has gained a reputation for generating an exciting atmosphere in their games. Their return to Italy’s top league was met with enthusiasm by Napoli supporters, who warmly welcomed the club.
Following the match, Como expressed their appreciation on social media. Through their official X account, the club praised the sportsmanship of Napoli and its fans, highlighting the atmosphere at the Diego Maradona Stadium. Como also announced that all Napoli fans traveling to the return fixture in February 2025 would be treated to a free beer.
