“Our dream has always been to have a tasting room that showcases our vines, and I’m thrilled that this vision is finally coming to life,” said Katie Santora, the winery’s winemaker. “The new space will blend the welcoming atmosphere of our downtown Newberg location with breathtaking vineyard views, allowing guests to connect with the origin of our wines: the vineyard.”

The Chehalem tasting room will feature a sustainable design that reflects the winery’s commitment to environmental stewardship. Inspired by organic mid-century modern aesthetics, the interior will incorporate a Scandinavian color palette alongside natural materials and wood tones. Guests can expect a comfortable setting with ample indoor and outdoor seating, accommodating up to 160 visitors. Facilities will include a full kitchen, two tasting areas—one with a fireplace and another with a tasting bar—a loft lounge, a private conference room, and a spacious outdoor patio.

Chehalem’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its operations, which include four estate vineyards in the Dundee Hills, Laurelwood District, and Ribbon Ridge, both part of the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Each bottle produced by the winery tells a story of care and quality, resonating with those who appreciate not just the flavor of the wine but the journey from vine to glass.

“Opening this new tasting room marks a pivotal moment for Chehalem,” said Bill Stoller, proprietor of Chehalem. “It provides us with a venue to share our passion for winemaking and to honor the land and the vineyards. This space signifies our history, our present efforts, and our commitment to a vibrant future.”
