A&W Root Beer is generating buzz with the leak of a new limited-edition flavor, Ice Cream Sundae Root Beer, sparking enthusiasm among soda aficionados.
The speculation began a week ago when images of the anticipated product surfaced on Reddit, showcasing the upcoming flavor. Shortly thereafter, reputable food blogger SodaSeekers confirmed the leak’s authenticity through a post on Instagram.
On Sunday, the influencer shared an image that closely resembled the one circulating on Reddit. In the caption, they noted, “The product renders seen here were posted to Reddit earlier this month,” while revealing they had received additional images that corroborated plans for the soda’s bottle release.
The announcement has prompted fans to voice their excitement, with one declaring, “I’m ALL. IN.” Another user enthusiastically remarked, “This gonna be bomb!” Many hope the new flavor captures the essence of the classic A&W Root Beer float, with one top comment quipping, “This better taste like the A&W Root Beer float beverage that used to come in glass years ago.”
Fellow food blogger Snackolator also expressed support for the new flavor, stating, “I hope it replicates a Root Beer Float in a can with the little extra flavors of fudge and cherries!”
While A&W has not yet made an official announcement regarding the product, insider information shared with SodaSeekers suggests that the Ice Cream Sundae Root Beer is set to launch in 2025. The beverage will be available in 12-ounce cans and 20-ounce bottles, offered in both regular and sugar-free varieties at participating retailers.
