FLORIDA — Three breweries from Florida celebrated significant wins at the 40th annual American Beer Festival, which concluded recently in Denver, Colorado. This year, the festival awarded 325 medals to 273 breweries and cideries nationwide, introducing cider and canned cocktails for the first time in its prestigious competition.
Held at the Colorado Convention Center from October 10 to October 12, the festival attracted thousands of beer enthusiasts eager to sample a wide range of flavors, from hoppy to funky. The event showcased numerous breweries competing across various categories, including American pilsners, sours, coffee beers, and non-alcoholic brews.
Among the Florida winners, Dade City Brew House secured a gold medal for its Pure Nonsense, recognized in the Dessert Stout or Pastry Stout category. Fort Myers Brewing Co. earned a silver medal for its Chocolate Stout in the Chocolate Beer category. Additionally, Webb’s City Cellar by Green Bench in St. Petersburg claimed a bronze medal for its Vordrassil in the Belgian Fruit Beer category.
