Amber Beverage Group, operating through its whiskey excellence center at Walsh Whiskey, has unveiled a remarkable addition to The Irishman range: a 22-year-old single malt, available exclusively in travel retail.
Named The Irishman 22-Year-Old, this exceptional offering will be exclusively accessible at The Loop in the airports of Dublin and Cork.
Produced in 2001, the whiskey underwent a maturation process in American oak Bourbon barrels for 21 years before receiving an additional year of aging in tawny Port casks sourced from the esteemed Douro Valley.
Bottled at its original cask strength of 49.43% ABV, The Irishman 22-Year-Old is valued at an RRP of €500 for duty-free purchases or €517 duty paid (approximately US$550).
A limited quantity of 600 bottles will be made available this year, with an additional 600 bottles planned for release in 2024.
Walsh Whiskey, a subsidiary of Amber Beverage Group (ABG), stands as a significant player in the global spirits industry.
