NEW YORK – One of the state’s most celebrated craft beer events, the TAP New York Craft Brew Festival, is making a comeback after a brief hiatus. Organizers announced on November 21 that the festival, which has been a staple of New York’s craft beer scene since 1998, will return in 2025 at a new location.

Originally scheduled for 2024 at Bethel Woods, the festival was canceled earlier this year due to “creative differences” with the venue. While organizers provided few details at the time, they reassured fans that the event would resume in 2025 at a new venue. That venue has now been confirmed: the Blackthorne Resort in East Durham, where the festival will take place on June 28 and 29, 2025.

TAP New York has been a key event in the state’s craft beer calendar for decades. The festival first debuted in 1998 as the Hudson Valley Beer and Food Festival at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. Due to rapid growth, the event relocated to Hunter Mountain just two years later, where it became known for showcasing the best craft brewers from across the state.

As the craft beer industry surged in popularity through the 2000s, TAP New York continued to expand, earning recognition as one of the premier craft beer festivals in the country. Fans and brewers alike eagerly anticipate its return.
