Two brothers have turned an old school bus into a mobile brewery, offering craft beer on the go and quickly becoming a local favorite in Oklahoma City.
The Big Friendly Beer Bus, founded in 2015 by Joe and Will Quinlin, is now a well-known part of the city’s vibrant craft beer scene. The idea for the unique venture came to Joe Quinlin while he was visiting Oklahoma from California.
“I would go to festivals, and I would see food trucks selling food, and at those same festivals, I’d see breweries serving beer. And I thought, ‘Why isn’t there a food truck selling beer?'” Joe explained. This spark of inspiration led him and his brother to move to Oklahoma, where they transformed an old bus into the traveling brewery now known for serving quality craft beer at various events across the metro area.
The Quinlins say the people of Oklahoma City have welcomed their innovative business with open arms. The Big Friendly Beer Bus has since become a fixture at local festivals and a hit among craft beer enthusiasts.
