Wine Paris 2025 set a new record with 52,622 visitors, 45% of whom came from 154 countries, marking a significant global presence at the event. Notably, New World wine regions saw a surge in prominence, reflected in a remarkable 80% increase in exhibition space for international producers compared to the previous year. The dedicated New World hall became a bustling hub of business activity, with buyers and producers engaging in discussions over the course of three dynamic days.

Chris Stone, Deputy Director of Washington Wine, noted the palpable excitement in the USA hall. “From day one, the energy in the USA hall was incredible. Washington and Oregon have a great collegial and collaborative atmosphere,” he shared. Stone also highlighted a shift in the perception of New World wines at this year’s event. “I’ve talked to many producers here, and they say this is the year they feel a significant shift in this New World hall. More regions are represented, and more prominent regions are exhibiting for the first time.” Stone anticipates continued growth for these regions: “I can see Washington and Oregon expanding their presence even further next year.”

British wines also made a strong debut at Wine Paris 2025. WineGB marked its first appearance at the event, with nine producers—including Gusbourne, Rathfinny, and Simpsons’ Wine Estate—showcasing their wines on the WineGB Pavilion. The response to the British wines was overwhelmingly positive. Angelina Howe, Events and Export Manager at WineGB, described the experience as “hugely successful.” She noted that over 1,500 Riedel glasses were used at their stand, and the featured producers had the opportunity to connect with both existing export partners and new business prospects. “There was a palpable buzz in the room, and a real appreciation of our wines,” Howe remarked. “Plenty of business was conducted over the three days, and we are looking forward to a repeat performance at ProWein next month.”

With New World wines gaining significant ground at Wine Paris 2025, the event solidified its status as a key platform for international trade in the wine industry. As Stone from Washington Wine concluded, “My understanding is that there’s a more positive energy in this hall than previous years.” This momentum suggests that the event will continue to grow and play a vital role in the future of the global wine market.
