The Saltram No.1 Shiraz 2018 has been selected as the exclusive wine to commemorate the Brisbane Lions’ historic 2024 Premiership victory over the Sydney Swans, offering fans a chance to relive the glory of September.
George Samios from Saltram Wine Estate expressed pride in partnering with the Lions for the momentous occasion, emphasizing the choice of a wine that reflects the team’s remarkable season. “We had to select something truly special to honor the Lions’ achievement,” Samios said.
The Saltram No.1 Shiraz holds historical significance, being the first wine crafted by Saltram’s founder, William Salter, back in 1859. The 2018 vintage, recognized as one of the finest, earned four trophies at the 2021 Barossa Wine Show, including the prestigious “No.1” wine award. Samios added, “What better wine to allow Brisbane Lions fans to relive the great season for decades to come, and we believe it will age as beautifully as the memories.”
In a unique tribute to the players, a limited edition of 20 bottles per player and coach Chris Fagan has been released, with each bottle hand-signed by the respective individual and presented in custom Brisbane Lions packaging. Additionally, 20 exclusive three-bottle packs have been created, featuring signed bottles from Fagan, Harris Andrews, and Lachie Neale, all housed in a commemorative wooden box.
For fans looking to further celebrate the Premiership, the limited release of the Brisbane Lions Premiership Barossa Shiraz 2023 is also available, featuring a stunning team photo to immortalize the unforgettable victory.
