Western Star has partnered with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, unveiling its sponsorship of the Hot Cross Bun Bar at this year’s Baker’s Dozen event. This collaboration offers the brand an opportunity to showcase its butter in a unique and creative way, reflecting its commitment to quality and versatility.
Linsey Macintosh, Senior Brand Manager for Western Star at Fonterra Oceania, emphasized the significance of the event: “The sponsorship of this experiential food event at the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival presents a great opportunity for the Western Star brand to directly connect with a food-loving audience.” She added, “With the event strategically timed at the start of the Easter season, it ensures Western Star stays top of mind as consumers prepare to purchase their hot cross buns over the coming weeks.”
The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, one of the world’s premier culinary celebrations, draws attention to Victoria’s rich food and wine culture throughout the year. This year’s event will feature more than 200 activities across Melbourne and regional Victoria, including iconic experiences such as the World’s Longest Lunch, Brunch, and the Global Dining Series.
The Baker’s Dozen, held at Federation Square, is a key highlight of the festival, showcasing Melbourne’s finest bakeries. Now in its third year, the event expands its offerings, including some of Australia’s and the world’s most celebrated bakers. At the Hot Cross Bun Bar, festival-goers will have the opportunity to sample four different bakers’ interpretations of the beloved Easter treat, all made with Western Star butter.
