Each of the brewery’s locations, including its newly opened venue on McDowell Road in Phoenix, utilizes repurposed buildings that are equipped with energy- and water-saving technologies. The brewery also emphasizes sustainability through its menu offerings, with many ingredients sourced locally, according to manager Spencer Pendergrass.

In celebration of Earth Day, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company is encouraging all Arizonans to “Drink Like You Care” by enjoying one of their water-saving beers at any of their locations. One standout brew, the “This Beer Saves Water” IPA, has been crafted using drought-tolerant Sinagua Barley, a shift from the typical hops that require significantly more water. This change, made in collaboration with northern Arizona farmers, results in a beer that conserves over 50 gallons of water per pint, drawn from the Verde River.

The brewery is not only committed to sustainable brewing practices but also aims to inspire other local businesses to adopt eco-friendly practices. Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company is partnering with Local First Arizona, a nonprofit that helps businesses reduce their water and energy usage through free audits.

Patrons can now enjoy a pint of “This Beer Saves Water” or other special Earth Day brews at any AZ Wilderness location. The new Phoenix location at 1422 E McDowell Rd is open and ready to serve.

By blending environmental stewardship with craft beer, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company is setting an example for other businesses to follow, proving that sustainable practices can go hand in hand with quality and creativity.
