Convenience-store chain Rutter’s has introduced its latest beer offering, Rainy Daze, a limited-edition hazy IPA developed in collaboration with Rusty Rail Brewing Co. The spring seasonal brew features a distinct berry aroma and flavor, designed to appeal to beer enthusiasts looking for a refreshing new experience.
Available in four-packs of 16-ounce cans, Rainy Daze will be sold in select Rutter’s locations across Pennsylvania that offer beer, though supplies are limited.
“Rutter’s is always striving to deliver fresh and exciting products to our customers,” said Adam Long, Senior Category Manager at Rutter’s. “This new hazy IPA is a continuation of our tradition of offering carefully crafted, specialty beers.”
Rainy Daze marks the seventh exclusive beer release from Rutter’s, which is ranked No. 78 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 list of U.S. convenience-store chains by store count.
Logan Powell, Head Brewer at Rusty Rail Brewing Co., expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying, “At Rusty Rail Brewing, we take pride in creating unique and bold flavors. Rainy Daze is no exception. This exclusive berry-infused IPA is perfect for any occasion—whether it’s rainy or sunny!”
In addition to the beer launch, Rutter’s recently announced plans for a new hybrid sports bar-convenience store concept. The innovative format, set to debut in Johnstown and Milton, Pennsylvania, will offer a range of adult beverages, including beer, wine, and canned cocktails. The locations will be newly built and feature larger store formats, with the potential for expansion into existing locations.
Rutter’s, headquartered in York, Pennsylvania, operates 89 stores across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. The company is also planning to open its first Virginia location this summer. Additionally, Rutter’s President and CEO, Scott Hartman, was recently named CSP’s 2025 Retail Leader of the Year.
