A recent incident at a Dollar General store in Apple Valley unfolded when a 46-year-old San Bernardino resident, Richard Fimbres, allegedly attempted to steal two 30-packs of beer. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department reported that Fimbres resorted to threats when a vigilant store employee confronted him during the act.
Quick thinking on the part of the employee led to the collection of valuable video and photographic evidence of the theft, which she promptly handed over to local authorities. Deputy A. Delgado, who had previous encounters with Fimbres, was able to identify him from the evidence provided. Subsequently, Deputy Delgado followed Fimbres to his residence, where he placed him under arrest.
Upon the completion of the investigation conducted by the Apple Valley Police Department, Fimbres was transported to the High Desert Detention Center. Currently, he remains in custody with bail set at $50,000.
