On Wednesday, Sapporo Beer celebrated the grand opening of Yebisu Brewery Tokyo, a brand experience center featuring brewing facilities situated in Tokyo’s vibrant Ebisu district, the historic birthplace of Yebisu Beer. This momentous occasion marks the first time in approximately 35 years that Sapporo Beer has recommenced operations in Ebisu since halting production in 1988 due to factory relocation.

Nestled within the bustling Yebisu Garden Place complex in Shibuya Ward, the new brewery invites visitors with no entrance fee to immerse themselves in a sensory journey of brewing excellence. At the facility’s taproom, patrons can indulge in a selection of approximately six freshly brewed beers, priced from ¥1100 per glass. Among the offerings is “Yebisu Infinity,” a special brew crafted by reselecting the yeast originally utilized at the Yebisu factory over three decades ago. Complementing the brews, guests can savor a variety of finger foods ranging from ¥400 to ¥800 per plate.
