Cincinnati boasts its own refreshing summer companion: Cincy Light.

Four out of six participants easily identified Cincy Light, noting its notably crisp taste, a testament perhaps to Rhinegeist’s meticulous brewing process. Impressively, three tasters, including myself, trending reporter Victoria Moorwood, and food and dining writer Keith Pandolfi, accurately identified three out of five beers. City government reporter Sherry Coolidge also matched this feat, narrowly missing out on the winner’s circle by not identifying Cincy Light, which carried a bonus point.

The remaining two tasters, Rasputin Todd and Jackie Borchardt, managed to pinpoint only one beer each. However, Jackie’s discernment of Cincy Light spared her from the bottom rank.

While acknowledging the inherent similarities among light beers, our experiment highlighted Cincy Light’s standing as a standout among lagers.
