French wine producer Château La Coste has unveiled Nooh, a new non-alcoholic wine brand, in the travel retail market.
Nooh, named from combining ‘no’ for non-alcoholic and ‘OH’ from the chemical symbol for alcohol, made its debut at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, where Château La Coste was a first-time exhibitor.
The Provençal estate, with a winemaking heritage dating back to 1682, created Nooh to cater to “flexidrinkers”—those who wish to enjoy the taste of sparkling or rosé wine without consuming alcohol. The Nooh line features sparkling and rosé wines, developed over three years as extensions of the Rosé d’une Nuit organic cuvée, containing only 3.5g of residual sugar. The alcohol is removed through vacuum distillation, preserving the wine’s original aromas. The sparkling wine offers notes of grapefruit, strawberry, lemon, and jasmine.
The Nooh bottles are designed with a long neck and narrow shoulder to highlight the light-bodied wines. Nooh Sparkling is priced at €35, while Nooh Rosé is available for €17.
Château La Coste’s Director of Development, Jérôme Schehr, highlighted the positive reception from travel retailers. “Interest in and demand for non-alcoholic drinks are increasing rapidly. We want to ensure we have quality products ready to match that trend,” he said.
