Brown-Forman Corporation has unveiled upcoming changes in its executive team, with Diane Nguyen set to assume the role of Chief People, Places, and Communications Officer effective August 1st. Nguyen will succeed Kirsten Hawley, who will retire on August 9th after a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades with the company.
Lawson Whiting, President and CEO of Brown-Forman, expressed enthusiasm about Nguyen’s appointment, highlighting her extensive human resources experience and strategic leadership capabilities. Nguyen currently serves as Senior Vice President and Human Resources Director for Global Commercial and Corporate Teams, bringing 16 years of tenure with Brown-Forman to her new role.
In her upcoming position, Nguyen will be responsible for developing and executing strategies aimed at enhancing Brown-Forman’s corporate culture, organizational structure, and workforce capabilities. She will also oversee corporate communications and workplace strategy to align with the company’s values and business objectives.
Reflecting on Kirsten Hawley’s contributions, Whiting praised her role in shaping Brown-Forman’s organizational evolution and culture. Hawley, who held various senior roles including Chief Human Resources Officer and oversight of global corporate communications, is credited with driving impactful people strategies and fostering a resilient corporate culture during her tenure.
Brown-Forman, known for iconic brands such as Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Woodford Reserve, continues to navigate significant changes in leadership following the recent passing of former CEO William Lee Lyons Brown Jr.
