Edwards 1902, an English producer renowned for its premium spirits, has secured a listing in Midcounties Co-op stores for its range of ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails. Earlier this year, in collaboration with Bottlegreen, the brand introduced three vodka spritz flavors: Elderflower, Raspberry, and Lime & Mint.
These cocktails, blending Bottlegreen’s cordials with Edwards 1902’s English vodka, boast a 5% ABV and contain fewer than 150 calories per serving. Priced at £2.90 (US$3.70), all three variants are now available at selected Midcounties Co-op locations across the UK.
Emma Hamilton, co-founder of Edwards 1902, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re thrilled to announce the availability of our new RTDs at select Midcounties stores. The Cotswolds, home to Bottlegreen, and the surrounding counties have shown great interest in our premium vodka portfolio. This collaboration is a perfect fit for both brands, and we look forward to expanding our product presence and enhancing Co-op’s RTD offerings for the summer.”
In addition to Midcounties Co-op, these cocktails are also stocked at Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, highlighting their growing popularity among consumers seeking convenient, flavorful beverage options.
Edwards 1902, produced by Elsham Wold Distillery, has garnered acclaim for its vodka, receiving a Master medal at the 2020 Vodka Masters blind tasting. The brand’s elderflower liqueur, created in partnership with Bottlegreen, secured a Gold medal in last year’s competition. Beyond vodka, Elsham Wold successfully launched a single malt whisky last year, which sold out within days of its release.
The RTD category is projected to experience robust growth across ten markets until 2027, driven by consumer demand for convenience and diverse flavor profiles, according to insights from IWSR Drinks Market Analysis.
