A new Palm Springs-inspired cocktail lounge and eatery, Cabana Club, is set to open this weekend at the Downtown Commons (DOCO) in Sacramento. The grand opening is scheduled for August 10, with the venue situated in the west plaza on the main level, adjacent to Insomnia Cookies.
Cabana Club promises to deliver a vibrant atmosphere, featuring bright décor and a blend of indoor and outdoor seating options. The menu will offer an array of specialty cocktails and shareable food items. Notable drinks include the Cactus Cooler, made with cactus extract; the Pink Flamingo, a neon pink concoction; and No Shade, crafted with carrot and ginger syrup.
“Having grown up in Palm Desert, Cabana Club is a dream come true for me,” said owner Paula Thompson in a press release. “I’ve always wanted to open a bar and eatery with a chic, desert oasis ambiance, and this new Cabana Club concept at DOCO really hits the spot.”
Cabana Club will be Thompson’s second venture in Sacramento. She also owns SMIC’s Sip & Quip, located at 1200 K Street, a short distance from the Golden 1 Center.
