In September 2018, while traveling to Glasgow for work, Kevin experienced excruciating stomach pain that led to severe bloating. He was admitted to Kirkcaldy Hospital and spent 12 days on morphine to manage the pain. Doctors warned him of the severe health risks associated with his drinking habits, including high cholesterol, triglycerides, and the potential development of chronic pancreatitis, a dangerous condition if he continued his current lifestyle.

The wake-up call was undeniable. Faced with a potential death sentence from his medical condition, Kevin decided to quit drinking in January 2023. This decision marked the beginning of a significant transformation. In just five months, he shed four stone, demonstrating his commitment to a healthier lifestyle.
