TOPEKA, KS – A new locally crafted beer, made with homegrown barley, is now available on tap in Topeka.
Blind Tiger Brewery has introduced the Shawnee County Golden Ale, created in collaboration with Roger and Jason Hamm, fourth and fifth-generation farmers from Shawnee County.
Roger and Jason Hamm have been developing this particular barley strain for nearly eight years. They expressed their excitement about finally sharing the beer with the public.
“This has been a long time coming,” Jason Hamm said. “Seeing our hard work come to life in a product that people can enjoy is incredibly rewarding.”
Jay Ives, the owner of Blind Tiger Brewery, highlighted the importance of local partnerships in a press release.
“This collaboration, which has resulted in such a remarkable beer, represents a significant step forward for us,” Ives said. “Quality is our top priority at the brewery, and this barley-malt, along with the beer it has produced, exemplifies that commitment.”
This new partnership between local farmers and the brewery not only showcases the quality of local ingredients but also emphasizes the importance of community-driven initiatives in creating exceptional products.
