by Kaia

It’s that festive time of year—Oktoberfest has arrived! If you can’t make it to Munich for the celebrations, Time Out Market Chicago is bringing the spirit of the festival to you. Join us on September 21 at the Fulton Market culinary and cultural hub for an afternoon filled with beer, brats, and live music.

The festivities kick off with a keg tapping at 11 a.m. Chef Jorge Kauam from Gutenburg will be grilling on the front patio, offering a range of Oktoberfest specials. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including pretzels, an Oktoberfest Footlong (beer brat with sauerkraut, caramelized onions, and mustard), Black Forest Dog (beef frank with crispy potato sticks, curry ketchup, and parsley), Guten Dog (pork brat with crispy onions, Guten sauce, and mustard), and Bacon Jalapeno Dog (bacon-wrapped frank with jalapeno, cheddar, and cheese sauce). Other Market kitchens will also feature special offerings.

No Oktoberfest celebration is complete without beer. Throughout the day, enjoy a selection of brews with a half-liter stein courtesy of Sam Adams. From 2 to 4 p.m., listen to the German band Frankkmusic as they perform live. The Market bar will offer a range of local craft beers, cocktails, and wines. For stunning skyline views, head upstairs to Tony’s Rooftop Bar.
