SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — This weekend, La Jolla will host the 16th annual La Jolla Art & Wine Festival, featuring more than 160 artists along Girard Avenue. The open-air festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, showcasing a wide array of artistic media, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and fine glass.
Festival attendees can also enjoy a selection of local and international wines, beers, and spirits. “Every year, we are thrilled to bring together such a diverse and talented group of artists, as well as the region’s finest wineries, distilleries, and breweries,” said Brenda Chand, executive director of the festival. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to this year’s festival and supporting the arts and education in San Diego.”
This year’s featured artist is photographer and mixed-media creator Roy Kerckhoffs, known for his ability to depict the beauty of human-made structures in harmony with nature.
In addition to visual arts, the festival will offer live music and dance performances, interactive installations, and a two-day silent auction. Pet adoption stations will also be available both days.
Children’s activities will be provided at the Geppetto’s Toys Family Art Center, featuring organizations like La Jolla Youth Robotics and the Living Coast Discovery Center, where kids can create art and participate in robotics demonstrations.
