Amana, IA — The celebration of music, food, and, notably, beer continued Saturday at Millstream Brewing’s annual Oktoberfest, marking the second day of the three-day festival.
This year’s event features a diverse lineup of eight bands and eight food trucks, showcasing the best of local flavors and entertainment from the Amana Colonies.
Millstream Brewing officials announced that they began brewing their signature Oktoberfest beer in March, producing an impressive 400 barrels for festivalgoers. This quantity translates to approximately 100,000 pints available for attendees to enjoy throughout the event.
Owner Susan Charlier emphasized that while the iconic brew is a festival highlight, Oktoberfest offers something for everyone.
“It’s wonderful to witness the joy and excitement of people from all generations—grandparents, parents, and grandchildren. They are all singing, dancing, and enjoying the free live music, which embodies the spirit of a perfect weekend,” Charlier stated.
The festivities commenced early Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, with the first band taking the stage at 10:30 AM, ensuring a lively atmosphere for attendees eager to celebrate.
