Founded in 2022 by two former Stone & Wood employees, Hiatus Beers has quickly made a name for itself in the non-alcoholic beer market, crafting crisp and refreshing brews that don’t compromise on flavor. The company is now celebrating its second anniversary with the release of its latest creation: the Hiatus Beers non-alcoholic Premium Lager.
This follows the success of their first product, Australia’s pioneering non-alcoholic Pacific Ale, which gained rapid popularity in local venues and retailers throughout the Northern Rivers region. Building on this achievement, Hiatus Beers has been hard at work to ensure their second release not only matches but complements their award-winning Pacific Ale. Notably, the Pacific Ale was recently crowned Champion Reduced or No Alcohol Beer or Cider at the 2024 Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show.
Co-founders Nic and Julien, both passionate about traditional lagers, aimed to create a non-alcoholic lager that adheres to the highest brewing standards. They focused on using premium ingredients, slow fermentation, and cold-conditioning to ensure the lager mirrored the quality of the world’s best alcoholic lagers.
Through a delicate process of dealcoholisation, they gently removed the alcohol while preserving the robust flavors and refreshment expected from a classic pint of lager. The result is a malt-forward lager with a subtle hint of mandarin.
Hiatus’ non-alcoholic Premium Lager is now available in select bars, restaurants, and retail outlets. As spring and summer approach, beer enthusiasts are encouraged to keep an eye out for this refreshing new option and take a Hiatus from alcohol without sacrificing taste.
