Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece, highlighted the impact of the campaign, stating that the association’s promotional activities in the UK are yielding significant results. “These initiatives greatly enhance the image of high-quality Greek wines, and we’ve seen a tangible increase in exports to this important market,” Giannopoulos noted. He also emphasized the importance of continued support for such efforts, which involve key Greek wineries and are backed by strategic planning.

The president of the Greek Wine Association echoed this sentiment, underscoring the remarkable growth of Greek wine exports to the UK. “At a time when global wine consumption is declining, the value of Greek wine exports to the UK has more than doubled over the past five years. The UK has now become one of the top four markets for Greek wine, and we remain committed to further targeted promotions to maintain and expand our market share,” he stated.

Looking ahead, the next phase of the promotional campaign will take place from October 13 to 18, when 45 top wineries from various wine-producing regions across Greece will be showcased. A group of distinguished UK professionals is set to visit these regions, offering further opportunities for collaboration and growth in the UK market.
