Named the Legent Yamazaki Cask Finish Blend, this exceptional concoction originated as a Kentucky Straight Bourbon, which underwent an eight-year aging process in the heart of Kentucky. Subsequently, it embarked on a unique journey to the outskirts of Kyoto, where it underwent a secondary maturation process within an array of casks, including French oak wine casks, Spanish oak Sherry casks, and Spanish oak casks previously employed for aging Suntory’s renowned Yamazaki Single Malt Japanese Whisky. This intricate process culminated in the final blend, which also integrates additional eight-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon to enhance its depth and character.

Notably, the House of Suntory had previously collaborated with James B. Beam Distilling Co., the provider of the Bourbon, for the launch of Legent Bourbon back in 2019.

In the context of House of Suntory’s illustrious 100-year history, Jon Potter, the managing director, reflected, “Across generations, our adept master blenders have artfully curated world-class spirits through exceptional innovation and impeccable blending techniques.
