In a remarkable display of philanthropy, Zonin1821 Group, the esteemed Italian drinks conglomerate, emerged as a prominent supporter of the recently concluded Tuscan Nights 2023 charity gala. The event was held with the noble aim of raising funds for the renowned Andrea Bocelli Foundation.
The first gala, held on 29th July at the Teatro del Silenzio, a breathtaking natural amphitheater nestled in the Volterra hinterlands, served as a harmonious convergence of music, dance, delectable cuisine, exquisite wines, and an impressive crowd of approximately 25,000 attendees – all united for a meaningful cause. Among the distinguished wines showcased from the Zonin1821 portfolio were the Cà Bolani Pinot Grigio 2022 Friuli DOC Aquileia, Masseria Altemura Zìnzula Rosé 2022 Salento IGT, and Zonin’s own-label Prosecco Rosé DOC 2022.
Gracing the event with their illustrious presence were eminent personalities such as singer Gloria Gaynor and renowned movie star Gerard Butler, amplifying the gala’s star-studded allure.
The charitable endeavors continued with a second event on 31st July, featuring an exclusive charity dinner at Villa Oliviero, situated near Forte dei Marmi. The gathering comprised 750 close friends of the Bocelli family, who were treated to a sumptuous dinner meticulously crafted by acclaimed Florentine chef Guido Guidi, impeccably paired with Zonin1821 wines.
Delights for the palate included the exquisite burrata agnolotti, complemented harmoniously by Principi di Butera’s Diamanti (Grillo DOC 2022), while the fillet of beef was elegantly served alongside Castello di Albola’s Chianti Classico DOCG 2021.
The gala’s significance extended far beyond an evening of opulence, as it was graced by the presence of the world-renowned tenor, Andrea Bocelli, who articulated, “It is because we believe in love and justice that we are called to build a better world than the one we have found; called to give back to the world what we have received, so that even the weakest or most disadvantaged people have the chance to live a life full of opportunities and beauty, and so that the deserving can find energy and real opportunities to give the best of themselves.”
