Leading hospitality brand Tashas Group has announced a new partnership with Maritime and Mercantile International (MMI) to launch a Wine Pairing Series across its concept stores. The series kicked off at Avli by tashas on September 12, with the next event scheduled for October 22 at the Flamingo Room Dubai. This collaboration promises to pair Tashas Group’s fine dining cuisine with MMI’s exceptional selection of wines.
The series includes the innovative Global Wine Passport program, which enhances the tasting experience. Each guest will receive a passport from the country of the winemaker host, guiding them through a unique tasting journey. Attendees will collect a different passport at each venue, and those who participate in all the wine pairing nights will be entered into a drawing for an exclusive all-expenses-paid trip to a prestigious wine estate in Greece, Italy, or South Africa. This initiative transforms the traditional wine pairing experience into an educational adventure.
MMI, a subsidiary of the Emirates Group, is known for its dynamic approach to beverage marketing, sales, and distribution. Tashas Group’s collaboration with MMI stems from its ability to connect with top winemakers around the world, ensuring that each wine pairing event is exceptional.
Krystian Hordejuk, Beverage Director at Tashas Group, stated, “Our partnership with MMI for the Wine Pairing Series represents a strategic collaboration aimed at elevating the F&B scene in the UAE. By combining Tashas Group’s hospitality excellence with MMI’s exceptional wine portfolio and commitment to promoting wine culture, we’re creating unique events that showcase the best of both worlds.”
The upcoming Wine Pairing Night on October 22 at Flamingo Room Dubai will feature wines curated by Tertius Boshoff, an acclaimed winemaker recognized as the “South African Diners Club Winemaker of the Year 2023.” Known for producing some of South Africa’s finest Chenin Blanc, Boshoff’s selections will complement Flamingo Room’s South African-inspired menu, set against an elegant and playful backdrop.
To conclude the series, Bungalo34 will host a Wine Pairing Night in November, highlighting wines from Roberto Bruno, Managing Director of Fontana Fredda and Borgogno. This event will showcase Bungalo34’s menu, which celebrates the iconic culinary traditions of the Italian, Greek, and French Rivieras.
This collaboration presents guests with a unique opportunity to explore the rich and diverse world of wines from some of the best vineyards in Europe and South Africa. Join this quarterly series where exceptional cuisine meets world-class wines.
