Gervais, Oregon — Bauman’s Cider will celebrate its annual Cider Festival as the grand finale of its month-long Harvest Festival on October 26 and 27. The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors to Bauman’s Farm, located just 45 minutes from Portland, Oregon.
Running from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the festival will feature an array of attractions including mazes, rides, cider donuts, apple cannons, and a variety of food and drink options. This year’s Cider Festival promises a unique opportunity to sample award-winning ciders amidst the stunning backdrop of the Willamette Valley.
Tickets for the event are available online for $40, which grants attendees full access to the Harvest Festival activities, a custom tasting glass, and five tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased for $1 each. Attendees are encouraged to tour Bauman’s newly constructed custom-built apple cider press during their visit.
The Cider Festival will showcase over ten premier cideries from the Pacific Northwest, allowing guests to engage with local cider makers and learn about various apple varieties. Christine Bauman Walter, founder and head cidermaker of Bauman’s Cider Co., will be present to serve notable seasonal selections, including the popular Apple Cider Donut Cider and Obsidian Blackberry Cider, crafted from blackberries sourced from the farm.
As in previous years, festival-goers will have the chance to vote for their favorite ciders, with a People’s Choice Winner to be announced after the event.
Founded in 2016 by Christine Bauman Walter, Bauman’s Cider Co. is known for its harvest-driven and terroir-focused ciders. The company has recently expanded with a new cidery in Southeast Portland and a tasting room in the city, while the original location at Bauman’s Farm continues to prioritize locally grown ingredients.
