Wavey Ice, the popular ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail brand, has achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing its initial £450,000 (US$571,624) crowdfunding target in just 24 hours.
With three weeks still remaining in its crowdfunding campaign, the Northern Irish RTD brand is on track to achieve a total funding of £600,000 (US$762,165).
Laura Davis, the Managing Director and Head of Production at Wavey Ice, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support received, stating, “This overwhelming support demonstrates what we already knew, that our playful, nostalgic Ice Pops and RTD cocktails are a smash with consumers.”
During the lockdown period, Wavey Ice distributed their Ice Pops as gifts among family and friends, fostering connections and spreading positivity. The popularity of their mixed boxes of Ice Pops, which offer an adult twist on beloved childhood treats, revealed the brand’s potential. Since acquiring the business, Wavey Ice has witnessed a threefold increase in sales.
The brand has also ventured into new product development (NPD), introducing “Sips,” a range of ready-to-drink alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. These offerings have garnered immense popularity and have become standout sellers for the brand.
The success of the ongoing crowdfunding campaign is anticipated to enable Wavey Ice to expand its vibrant product offerings into new markets and further establish its presence within the industry.
