The 12th annual Ales Over ALS fundraiser will take place on November 2, from 3 to 8 p.m. at The New Barn at Centennial Grove, located along the picturesque shores of Chebacco Lake in Essex.
Attendees can look forward to sampling a variety of local beers from breweries such as Ipswich Ale, True North, and Rockport Brewing. The evening’s menu, provided by Woodman’s and Kate’s Table, will feature a selection of dishes including tacos, clam chowder, BBQ pulled chicken, and an array of desserts. A homebrew competition will also be held, allowing amateur brewers to showcase their creations. Guests will be entertained by the Cape Ann-based band The Headlands, known for their rich vocals and engaging music.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Compassionate Care ALS, a Cape Cod organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by ALS. The organization offers a range of resources, including equipment, educational opportunities, assistance with Medicare and Medicaid, communication aids, and guidance on caregiving and end-of-life planning. Compassionate Care ALS takes an innovative approach to delivering tailored support to clients and their families.
