Continuing its robust commitment to enhancing its pub portfolio, Robinsons Brewery, the parent company, has channeled £1.25 million into the renovation of three Cheshire-based pubs. This endeavor is part of the brewer and operator’s most substantial capital expenditure campaign aimed at elevating its pub estate.
Throughout July, three tenanted pubs in Cheshire underwent comprehensive refurbishments, resulting in the transformation of The Hawk Inn in Haslington, The Unicorn in Congleton, and The Swan & Chequers in Sandbach. Notably, this strategic investment has also led to the revival of a previously shuttered establishment, a move anticipated to stimulate job creation within the regional context.
Additionally, Robinsons has embraced new business collaborators to oversee operations at two of the revitalized pubs. Meanwhile, The Unicorn will continue its operations under the stewardship of Robinsons’ enduring 30-year partner.
The refurbishments of The Hawk, The Unicorn, and The Swan & Chequers have been facilitated by the infusion of £1.25 million. This monetary commitment forms part of a broader initiative encompassing 17 investment projects, all of which have been concluded within Robinsons’ extensive 250-strong pub estate over the course of 2023.
This year’s allocation for capital expenditure represents the highest quantum of investment the Stockport brewer has ever allocated to its pub estate.
William Robinson, the Managing Director of the pub division at Robinsons, articulated, “Our ongoing investments in our pub estate underscore our dedication to our business partners and the communities they serve. These recent enhancements, coupled with our innovative strides in our cask and keg beer selection, exemplify our unwavering commitment to delivering a remarkable consumer experience within distinct and inviting environs.”
