Chuckanut Brewery Unveils New Seasonal Brews and Expands to Cans in 2025

As winter approaches, Chuckanut Brewery is gearing up to release five new beers over the next two months, perfect for cozying up by the fire. The brewery, known for its award-winning lagers and ales, is also preparing for an exciting new chapter—introducing its beers in cans to the Pacific Northwest in 2025.

Among the new seasonal offerings is the Chuckanut Rye Lager, a hearty, spicy brew made with rye malt, perfect for colder weather. The Mexican-Style Dark Lager is a darker, more robust version of the brewery’s original Mexican Lager, boasting a deep amber color and bold malty flavors, yet maintaining the same crisp, bright finish.

For stout lovers, Chuckanut has brewed its first export-style Stout of the year. This dark, full-bodied beer is designed to provide warmth and comfort on chilly days and nights. Another seasonal favorite returning is Chuckadunk! Chuckanut Dunkel Lager, a personal favorite for its rich, clean flavors of chocolate and coffee.

Rounding out the new releases is the Citra Pilsner, a bigger and bolder version of the brewery’s original Citra Leaf Pilsner, now brewed with whole-cone Citra hops. The result is a more intense fruity, citrusy, and spicy hop aroma and flavor.

As Chuckanut continues to innovate, it also prepares to make its beers more widely available. In 2025, the brewery will introduce cans to the Pacific Northwest, marking a significant expansion for the popular brand. With the addition of a new six-head canning line, Chuckanut’s brews will soon be available in stores and bottle shops throughout the region.

The brewery, which has won multiple accolades including Large Brewery of the Year at the WA Beer Awards in 2017, 2019, and 2021, invites beer lovers to visit its Skagit Valley taproom in Burlington, WA. The taproom is open to guests of all ages, including dogs, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.
