Chef Tom Kerridge Announces New Butcher’s Tap & Grill Location in Chelsea

by Ivy

Renowned chef Tom Kerridge has exciting news for food enthusiasts as he reveals plans to open a second Butcher’s Tap & Grill later this year. Kerridge, acclaimed for his two-Michelin-starred gastropub The Hand & Flowers in Marlow, first introduced the Butcher’s Tap & Grill concept five years ago in Marlow, in collaboration with Greene King. This upcoming establishment marks Kerridge’s third venture in London, following Kerridge’s Bar & Grill at the Corinthia Hotel and Kerridge’s Fish & Chips at Harrods.

The new Butcher’s Tap & Grill will find its home in Chelsea within a historic building that once housed the Queen’s Head pub. Kerridge expressed his delight in securing such a prestigious location for his second establishment of this kind. He emphasized that while the essence of the Marlow pub will be present, the Chelsea location will offer a unique experience, with a greater focus on drinks and the bar scene. Unlike the Marlow location, the Chelsea spot will not provide a takeaway butcher’s service. However, patrons will have the opportunity to handpick their preferred cuts from the meat fridge.

Gavin Hills, wine director at The Hand & Flowers, has meticulously curated the wine list for the Butcher’s Tap & Grill. Additionally, the establishment will feature a selection of beers on tap, including offerings from Marlow-based Rebellion Beer Co., which shares a historical connection with Kerridge, as well as choices from several London craft breweries.
