In a pioneering move, American cocktail brand BeatBox Beverages has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first wine-based ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage worldwide to be granted B-Corp status, a coveted environmental certification.
This distinction marks BeatBox Beverages as not only the inaugural RTD brand globally to secure this recognition but also the foremost wine-based RTD brand in the United States to attain B-Corp status. The achievement reflects the brand’s commitment to environmentally responsible practices and sustainability.
BeatBox Beverages, established in 2012 and operating independently, aims to align with the preferences of eco-conscious consumers and resonate with the “next generation” of RTD enthusiasts. Despite its vibrant packaging and associations with artists like Avril Lavigne, the brand’s Co-founder and COO, Aimy Steadman, emphasizes a deliberate focus on championing “next-generation values.” These values encompass principles such as sustainability and philanthropy.
Steadman elaborated, stating, “This B Corp certification really helps us signal to those that value those things that we are doing things differently. That we’re not just a great-tasting, fun product, but we also have a lot behind the scenes going on to embody those next-generation values.”
BeatBox Beverages’ attainment of B-Corp status underscores the brand’s dedication to fostering a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach, setting a notable precedent within the global wine-based RTD sector.
