This year, Verdant Brewing took a trip across Spain, from Galicia to Madrid and Girona, forging new collaborations with local breweries. The first partnership began in 2023, when Verdant met Judit and Michael of DosKiwis Brewing during a tap takeover at Café El Birrot. After visiting the DosKiwis brewery, the pair invited Verdant to their hometown of Rupià for a collaboration brew. The result, an IPA called Rupià, is packed with Motueka, Riwaka, and Citra hops, delivering a bold mix of citrus, tropical fruits, and hedgerow notes.
In Girona, Verdant crossed paths with KOM Beer, a small, independent brewery based in Manlleu near Barcelona, during a tap takeover at Chuggle’s. The partnership led to another Cornwall-based collaboration, Manlleu, a powerful double IPA that promises to be a “monster of a beer.”
