Moon Dog Craft Brewery is set to open its fifth Melbourne venue, the Moon Dog Beach Club, on Friday, December 20 in Frankston. The new location marks another milestone for the growing brewery, adding to its lineup of vibrant spaces in the city.
CEO and co-founder Josh Uljans expressed excitement about the opening, stating, “We’re pumped to be rounding out 2024 with our fifth venue opening on the shores of sunny Frankston.” The new beach club aims to offer a one-of-a-kind hospitality experience, complete with a tropical vacation vibe, right on the coast of Port Phillip Bay.
“Moon Dog Beach Club is about offering a place where people can relax, unwind, and spend quality time with friends,” Uljans said. “With the festive season approaching, it’s the perfect time to launch a venue designed for good times and great company.”
A Tropical Getaway in Frankston
Occupying a spacious 2,000 square meters, the Moon Dog Beach Club features four bars, a balcony beer garden, and private spaces spread throughout the venue. The main stage will host DJ performances, providing a lively atmosphere well into the night.
To enhance the beachside ambience, the venue has been decorated with tropical touches, including cabana huts, hammocks, and lush greenery, offering a vacation-like atmosphere.
The venue’s menu showcases a variety of dishes, including prawn buckets, seafood towers, and an array of grazing options. Drinks will feature Mojitos, Mai Tais, and alcoholic slushies, alongside traditional beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. For those seeking comfort food, the menu includes pub classics like fish & chips, parmigiana, and a range of burgers. There is also a dedicated kid’s menu.
Expanding the Moon Dog Experience
The opening of the Moon Dog Beach Club follows a series of successful venue launches in 2024, including the Wild West venue in Footscray and Doglands in Docklands. Uljans reflected on the company’s growth, saying, “This year has been huge for Moon Dog. We’re so proud to be expanding our footprint, and we can’t wait for bayside and beachside Melburnians to experience the Moon Dog vibe.”
The Moon Dog Beach Club will officially open to the public at 2:00 PM on December 20, located at 490 Nepean Highway, Frankston. The venue will be open Monday to Friday from 11:30 AM until late.
