Australia’s Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (TWE.AX) has officially revealed the appointment of Stuart Boxer as its Chief Financial and Strategy Officer, effective from November 1, 2023. Boxer will take over the role from Matt Young, who had held the position of CFO since 2018.
Boxer, currently serving as the Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at Australia’s largest winemaker, will assume his new responsibilities as CFO while continuing to manage his existing roles, as stated in the company’s official announcement.
Treasury Wine Estates expressed confidence in Boxer’s extensive expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions, asserting that his appointment will be advantageous for the company.
Before joining Treasury Wine Estates, Stuart Boxer served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive General Manager of Strategy at DuluxGroup for over a decade.
This recent appointment follows the company’s announcement last month of John Mullen as its new Chairman, succeeding Paul Rayner, who retired from the company’s board.
