San Antonio’s Quarry Hofbrau & Beer Garden, a local staple for 14 years, has closed its doors, and it now appears that the closure is permanent. After temporarily shutting down in June for repairs and renovations, the property, located at the Quarry, now has a “for lease” sign posted outside, signaling that the closure may not be a temporary measure.
The last update from the popular bar came in the form of a social media post on June 2, where the staff shared a heartfelt goodbye. The post included an image of the team raising a final toast, accompanied by a message stating, “The staff took one last toast before we said ‘see ya later.’ Hofbrau is closing for renovations and repairs. Stay tuned for what’s to come!”
Despite the optimistic tone of the post, the new “for lease” sign suggests that the beloved venue will not be reopening anytime soon, leaving many in the community to reflect on its long run as a gathering spot.
