Loubud Wines, a label known for its sparkling and rosé wines, has officially opened a new tasting room in the iconic El Paseo courtyard in Santa Barbara. The winery, founded in 2015 by winemaker Laura Hughes, is now co-owned by Laura and her husband, Paul. The label’s wines are made from grapes sourced from vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills, renowned for their quality and unique terroir.
The new tasting space includes both an indoor area and an outdoor patio. It is surrounded by other prominent tasting rooms, including Au Bon Climat, Grassini Family Vineyards, Jamie Slone Wines, and Happy Canyon Vineyard. Visitors are encouraged to make reservations, as the tasting room offers a limited seating capacity of 32, with 16 seats available indoors and another 16 on the patio.
To celebrate the opening, Loubud will host a grand opening event on Sunday. The tasting room is also a place where guests can purchase handmade puzzles crafted by Paul Hughes, adding a personal touch to the experience.
Loubud’s tasting room is located at 20 El Paseo in Santa Barbara. The tasting room is open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, with appointments available for other times.
