In a pivotal moment marking its evolution since its establishment in 2013 as one of Sydney’s original independent craft breweries, Batch has unveiled a comprehensive rebrand ahead of its tenth anniversary. This transformation comes following their recent collaboration with nearby neighbor Wayward Brewing, uniting forces under the banner of the Local Drinks Collective.
The rebranding initiative encompasses a captivating makeover of Batch’s logo, featuring a character hoisting a keg and pint, symbolizing the essence of their craft. Additionally, some of their core range beers will see new names and recipes introduced. Despite these changes, Batch’s foundational ethos of “We Brew For You” remains steadfast and prominently displayed on their fresh-look beverage cans.
The creative vision for this rebranding endeavor was expertly executed by the talented illustrator and designer, Clint Weaver, from Pocket Beagles. Weaver had previously collaborated with Batch on artistic endeavors such as Collabathon and Sourfest events in recent years.
Speaking about the rebrand, Clint Weaver remarked, “We embarked on a journey to craft something contemporary while preserving the very essence of the Batch brand. The central figure of the Batch character played a pivotal role in this transformation. Our aim was to imbue them with personality and take them on an exploratory voyage across the packaging of the core range, effectively mirroring the quality of the beer encased within and celebrating the diversity of those who savor Batch’s creations.”
