Fast Friends, the growing brewery and hospitality destination in South Austin, has appointed Sarah to lead its brewing program, bringing over 17 years of experience in the craft beer industry.
Sarah, who previously held leadership roles at Susitna Brewing Company, Rahr and Sons Brewing Company, and Maui Brewing Company, expressed her excitement about the opportunity to craft beverages with passion and precision. “I’m honored to showcase my love for brewing at Fast Friends,” she said. “We’re building a program that offers something for every palate, and I’m thrilled to expand our presence at local grocery stores and restaurants with our flagship offerings. At our South Austin facility, we will continue to brew unique beers and seltzer cocktails exclusively available to our visitors.”
As a mentor within the Brewers Association and a certified Cicerone, Sarah is dedicated to fostering growth in the brewing community. She is also a graduate of the Siebel Institute of Technology Brewing Program and the Hybrid Distillation Certificate Program, earning recognition through scholarships from the Glenn Hay Falconer Program and The Michael James Jackson Foundation.
Laura Licona, Director of Culinary and Hospitality Operations at Fast Friends, praised Sarah’s talents and creativity. “Sarah is an incredible addition to our team,” said Licona. “Her vision and expertise will be key as we expand beyond our campus, bringing unique beer and culinary experiences to retail locations across Austin. We’re redefining hospitality by blending craft with culture, and Sarah’s input will help make our space a welcoming and innovative destination.”
