Have you ever wondered about the rich history of beer, particularly the evolution of India Pale Ales (IPAs)? Here’s your chance to explore it.
Project Hop, a unique initiative that sources local hops from around the world, is hosting a special beer tasting event in Kelowna, focusing on the heritage of IPAs that dates back over 250 years. Nathan, the creative brewer behind the project, has been dedicated to recreating beers inspired by the past. These brews are barrel-refermented and crafted with traditional, independent hop varieties, just as they were centuries ago.
The event will take place at Mission Liquor Store on Friday, February 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A tasting session, paired with a detailed discussion of the beers and brewing process, will run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Best of all, the event is free to attend. If you enjoy the beers, Nathan will have cans available for purchase after the tasting.
