Lahaina Food & Wine Festival to Debut in February 2025

The inaugural Lahaina Food & Wine Festival will take place from February 19-23, 2025, in West Maui, offering a unique opportunity to experience exceptional cuisine, world-class wines, and unforgettable dining experiences. The event promises to showcase some of the region’s finest chefs and vineyards, all set against the backdrop of one of Maui’s most picturesque locations.

This five-day festival will feature a range of exclusive events, including wine-paired dinners, industry tastings, and interactive culinary activities at some of Lahaina’s most iconic dining spots, such as Māla Ocean Tavern and Coco Deck.

Caleb Hopkins, owner of Hana Hou Hospitality and a sommelier, shared his vision for the festival, emphasizing its community-driven purpose. “This festival is about bringing people together over incredible food and wine,” he said. “Maui deserves an event that celebrates craftsmanship, passion, and community. Whether you’re an industry professional, a wine enthusiast, or simply someone who loves a great meal, this will be an experience to remember.”

The festival will feature a diverse selection of events, including:

  • Italian Wine Dinner at Māla (Feb. 19): A four-course dinner paired with premium wines, featuring distinguished winemakers and top chefs.
  • Industry Wine Tasting at Coco Deck: Hospitality professionals will have the opportunity to taste and discover over 60 wines.
  • Ramen & Riesling: A tasting event featuring ramen dishes by Chef Alvin, complemented by Riesling selections presented by Zach Musick of the German Wine Collection.
  • Burgundy Wine Dinner: A limited-time four-course dinner highlighting the prestigious Bouchard Wines from Burgundy.
  • Keiki Cooking Class: A free class for children ages 5-10, where they can create dishes with pre-prepared ingredients. The class will feature rotating stations every 20 minutes, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Grand Tasting at Coco Deck: An exclusive culinary experience showcasing Maui’s top chefs alongside expertly curated wine selections.
  • Bubbles, Beats & Brunch: A lively brunch featuring sparkling wine and music by DJ Eliza.

The LahainaTown Action Committee, a key sponsor of the festival, views the event as a significant step in enhancing West Maui’s local hospitality and restaurant industries.
