SF Beer Week kicks off on February 21, offering 10 days of exciting beer-related events across the East Bay, culminating on March 2. The festivities, spanning two weekends, promise an eclectic mix of activities, from unique beer pairings to lively competitions, all celebrating the region’s craft beer culture.
The event’s opening night at 21st Amendment Brewery in San Leandro will feature the Brews & Bites @ Nite Fest, supporting the Bay Area Brewers Guild. Attendees can sample over 15 local breweries, making it a perfect opportunity to explore the diverse offerings of the region.
On March 2, the East Bay’s beer scene will reach its peak with East Bay All-Stars 2025 at Jupiter in Berkeley. Sixteen breweries will battle it out in a March Madness-style competition, showcasing the best of East Bay beer.
Throughout the 10-day celebration, participants can enjoy a variety of unique events:
United Sours of America (Feb. 22, Monk’s Kettle, Oakland): This popular event returns for its 11th year, featuring sour ales from local favorites like Ghost Town and Rare Barrel.
Cornhole Classic (Feb. 22, 21st Amendment Taproom, San Leandro): Beer enthusiasts can compete in a bracket-style cornhole tournament, with a side of specialty corndogs to fuel the fun.
Cookies & Craft Beer Pairing (Feb. 23, Epidemic Ales, Concord): Celebrate Girl Scout Cookie season with a craft beer pairing event featuring favorites like Thin Mints and S’mores.
East Brother’s 8th Anniversary Party (Feb. 23, East Brother, Richmond): The brewery will host an 8-bit themed party with live music, food trucks, and special beer releases.
Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter Adoption Drive (Feb. 25, Alameda Brewing, Alameda): Pair a beer with puppy love at this pet adoption event featuring a collaboration beer with Four Legs Brewing.
SF Drunken History (Feb. 25, The Rake, Alameda): Beer enthusiasts and history buffs can enjoy a storytelling event about the Bay Area’s beer legacy, complete with historic brewing styles.
Breadmaking Class with Grainbakers (Feb. 27, Drake’s Barrel House, San Leandro): Learn the art of bread-making using spent grains from the brewing process, all while sampling Drake’s craft beers.
Temescal Brewing x East Bay Nosh (Mar. 1, Temescal Brewing, Oakland): This event will feature local breweries and pop-up food vendors curated by Nosh, offering everything from Pan-Asian cuisine to creative grilled cheese sandwiches.
