In the summer of 2022, I embarked on an adventurous journey through Canada, seeking a mix of urban exploration and tranquil retreats. My expedition began in New York City, where I hopped on a train that would carry me to my first destination: Niagara Falls, New York.
Upon my arrival at Niagara Falls, I decided to continue my journey by crossing into the serene landscapes of Niagara Falls, Canada, on foot. The spectacular natural wonder that greeted me on the Canadian side was awe-inspiring, and I spent three delightful days exploring the area.
After my enchanting experience at Niagara Falls, I boarded a bus bound for Toronto, the bustling metropolis of Ontario. A single night in this vibrant city allowed me to soak in its diverse culture and lively atmosphere.
Eager to delve deeper into the Canadian experience, I journeyed to Montreal and Quebec City by train. Each of these cities offered a unique glimpse into Canadian heritage and history. I savored one night in each location, savoring the distinct flavors of French-Canadian cuisine.
However, it was during my stay in Canada’s remote wine country, located in Lincoln, Ontario, that I found the pinnacle of relaxation. Nestled amidst orchards, vineyards, and a picturesque ravine, I discovered a charming treehouse perched atop eight majestic pine trees, elevated 10 feet above the ground. My serene night in this treehouse, which I booked through Airbnb for $290, provided an unforgettable experience.
My backpacking adventure across Canada was a captivating journey filled with diverse landscapes, urban exploration, and moments of tranquility. It was a testament to the incredible beauty and charm that this vast and varied country has to offer.
