Sage Restaurant is delighted to unveil its inaugural wine dinner of the season, set to take place on Wednesday, October 11th, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. This extraordinary evening, curated by Executive Chef Christopher Covelli, promises an exquisite six-course dining affair, artfully complemented by a selection of wines hailing from the esteemed Napa Valley winery, ZD Wines. John Buckey, ZD Wines’ National Sales and Tasting Room Manager, will grace the event with his presence, affording guests the opportunity to engage with him in a convivial atmosphere.
With a limited seating capacity of just 50 guests, this culinary journey commences with a delightful array of passed appetizers, including cucumber paired with smoked salmon and crème fraiche, and vegetable phyllo cups infused with tuna won ton. The culinary adventure continues with a tantalizing tomato tart served alongside basil-infused goat cheese mousse. Diners will then relish a pan-seared u-10 scallop, thoughtfully accompanied by truffle-scented duxelles. The menu takes an inventive turn with a raviolo, skillfully filled with prosciutto and cannellini bean puree. The savory journey culminates in braised short rib, masterfully prepared with potato carbonara and seasonal mushrooms. A delectable dessert offers the perfect denouement to this culinary symphony.
Throughout the evening, each course will be thoughtfully paired with a selection of wines from ZD, featuring esteemed varieties such as the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Library Select and the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. The all-inclusive wine dinner experience is priced at $295 per person, encompassing tax and gratuity.
